NORA's Return

Check it out! I actually did a completed drawing and I’M POSTING IT. :’D
Ha. I’ve been slaving over this picture for the past month, trying to take every chance I had to work on it. I ended up rushing towards the end, so I feel like some of the anatomy is a bit wonky and I didn’t spend too much time on the background, but overall I’m quite happy with how it turned out! (: _{and besides, I’m far too tired of staring at this picture to try and change anything now}

This is something I did for ’s FFXIII-2 contest. Pretty much you had to envision what you wanted to see in FFXIII-2. Well, I started my concept and clothing design way before I saw the trailers for the game… I had thought, “Wouldn’t it be cool if team NORA came back with AWESOME new armor and stuff like Lightning’s?” So that’s pretty much what I went for here. I honestly wasn’t expecting to see NORA make an appearance in FFXIII-2, but they were in the trailer! xD However, they weren’t sporting these cool new duds. I was also quite disappointed that Snow isn’t seen in the trailers as of yet either! D:< I like Snow.

Anyways, with this I tried to stay as true as I could to the characters’ taste in clothing and color scheme. I also wanted to attempt to keep the overall shape of their clothing so it’s recognizable while still making it look different and new. The design on the back of Snow’s ripped jacket was inspired by both of the designs that appear on his coat when you equip his ‘Paladin’ weapon and ‘Ultimate’ weapon. The feathers that Lebreau, Snow, and Yuj have on their outfits were meant to resemble the long trail of feathers that Lightning has on her new apparel.
I think my favorite outfits out of these five that I designed would have to be Maqui’s or Yuj’s. ^^
